Katy Welsh is a print designer based in Bristol, UK. Her print work takes precedent from history but is not beholden to it, it aims not to mimic what has come before. Instead it questions what it means to employ these ideals today.
She likes to work boldly, wanting her love of color and experimental process to shine through the pieces she creates. She is highly influenced by fine art masters such as Matisse and the Fauves, but is also very interested in discovering contemporary designers from many disciplines.
