DEVON SHOPS, long considered the leading maker of Fine French, English and Transitional furnishings, is having a Moving Sale at its’ stately Park Avenue Showroom on the corner of Park Avenue and 27th Street in Manhattan.
For the first time ever, since it opened its doors in 1929, the Company is offering 50-75% off meticulously hand-carved: Armoires, Bedframes & Headboards, Dining Room Tables, Chairs, Benches, Footstools, Tables, Desks and Bar Carts, to name just a few of the pieces drastically reduced throughout their 8,000 square foot showroom. There are gilded mirrors, pillows, decorative accessories and objects d’art, luggage and lamps, not to mention a showroom full of fabrics, floor samples and much, much more.
Many of the antiques inspiring the meticulously hand-carved designs are also being offered for sale. Never before has the Company hosted this type of sale, and this will likely be the last sale of its kind once the Company moves, hence the tagline, The Sale of the Century. Sale runs through the end of June. Shoppers are encouraged to get there sooner rather than later for the best selection at the best values.
The sale only includes current inventory. It does not include previous, current or future custom orders. However, the complimentary Design Service the Company offers all of its customers is included, as always, and many of the current offerings may be coordinated with future orders. Should the NYC showroom not be convenient for customers to get to, the Company will work with customers by phone or email, sending pictures and measurements of available pieces, as well as providing shipping services.
