The life of an orchid as expressed in 36 Oil paintings. An SVA and Parsons trained painter, Marissa Bridge has been painting all of her adult life. She turned from fine art to commercial art after the sudden tragic loss of her first husband. She left the world of fine art, she pursued a lucrative commercial art career in Manhattan. It took the gift of an orchid that helped her begin again in fine art; her long suppressed feelings emerged with the first stroke and over time she examined her life through painting the life cycle of an orchid.
