Mention: "What did you want to be when you were a little ‘un?
I’m pretty sure I just wanted to be weird!
What made you decide to start your own brand?
I didn’t really realise I was starting a business when I did. I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur/artists in some way. I just didn’t know what form that would take. I started making these necklaces and I walked into a store and the owner asked if he could carry them. It happened to be a super cool store and he let me flesh things out there, I brought things directly from studio. It was a great testing ground. It turned out that the throws did the best. And they also happened to be the things I was most excited about.
How would you describe your style of work?
Modern, simple, and playful...."—Interview by Elle Bentley

Shaped by nature: Studio DUNN’s Kujira coffee table | Hotel Design Magazine →
Mention: "Studio DUNN launched the Kujira coffee table. Created by designer Asher Dunn, the new table was inspired by nature and influenced by both mid-century Danish and Asian designs. Studying plant and animal life, Dunn examined the skeletal structure of whales to shape his work, as well as river stones, sea glass and driftwood. But the primary design influence was the whale, including the name, Kujira that means whale in Japanese..."—By Mick Tan
Eric Standley’s Unbelievable laser cut paper sculptures →

Eric Standley’s brilliant and one-of-a-kind form of laser-cut paper art imitates the complex patterns of Gothic and Islamic architecture to create mind-bendingly intricate and beautiful mandala-like artworks.
The respect for these structures seems to have to do with the never-ending. It’s trying to project something that’s not even human. It seems to inspire the same sort of awe-struck reverence that a massive cathedral might..."—In Art / ByJack

Home Tour :: Alyson Fox | Camille Styles →
Mention: "“The listing we found just said ‘VIEW,’” says Alyson Fox of the rustic green hilltop she and her husband (creative director Derek Dollahite) would eventually build their future home on. “There were no pictures or anything. And when we finally drove out here, we knew right away it was special.” The two decided to take a chance and leave central Austin for the small town of Spicewood, about 25 miles outside of town. Together, they designed an incredible Neutra-esque hill country escape that fuses concrete, copper, wood, and glass. The project was truly a family affiar — Fox’s brother-in-law served as general contractor and together, the three creatives built the house from the ground up. With massive glass windows and an open floor plan, the home they built serves as a place of creative inspiration that quietly celebrates that most important aspect — the view..."—By Jennifer Rose Smith

Amy Genser - My Modern Met →
Mention: "Mixed-media artist Amy Eisenfeld Genser's obsession with paper and color has led to her creation of these vibrant, tactile, paper collages. Although her final work appears quite abstract, Genser always starts out with an idea for a piece by using images and sketches and also drawing upon the beautiful imperfections of nature as the foundation for her work. Each piece consists of pieces of paper rolled together to produce interesting color palettes. Layer upon layer, Genser allows the piece to grow and develop until it feels complete, and she then adheres the paper rolls in place with PVA glue..."—Posted by katie hosmer
