Alma Charry was born in Paris. She grew up in a small village, raised by a compositor and a textile artist. Entirely self-taught, she now works in Paris as a young illustrator / graphic designer / photo editor.

"Alma Charry works for the discrete fusion between ink and digital, for the joyful confluence of painting and collage, for the expression of a sharp form of self-taught art.

In the way of a contemporary fortune-teller, she creates an intimate and varied world made of graphic haikus, mineral-stellar-vegetal patterns, silent faces and animals. She produces simple, naive and meditative visuals, as if she was constantly formulating secret emblems. Her work is about the exercise of symbolist innocence, futuristic meditation, esoteric sobriety."—Cloé Lastère
